Jesus WOD

I am about to get a bit sentimental for a moment.

Jeremy emailed the CrossFit Central coaches the WOD below this morning, and we plan on doing it on Friday at 3:00PM. I got teary eyed simply reading the email. Rewind a year and half ago and I never would dreamed of receiving an email from the owner of the company I work with the subject line having the word Jesus in it. At my last corporate job, Christmas, Easter, Jesus, basically anything with a religious/Christian connotation, was absolutely not allowed. I will never forget sitting in a meeting and one of the Head Honchos in the company laughed at the idea of a day of rest on Sunday and honoring one's religious beliefs. I keenly remember that very moment and thinking to myself---I am done with this place. Once again I am reminded today how blessed I am to be where I am this very moment!!!

I am fired up on Friday to do this workout. The symbolism behind this WOD is beautiful. Every time I feel like sitting down the bar, I will quickly remind myself what Jesus sacrificed for me on this very day.

Jesus WOD (The way of the Cross)

14 Rounds for time

95lbs Barbell
10 Deadlifts
10 Squat cleans
10 Push Press

50 ft of Walking Lunges with barbell on back. Walk back to start
point. At no point does the barbell touch the ground until rounds 3, 7
and 9.

Round Three Seven and Nine 7 Turkish Get Up 1.5 Pood (seven is the
number of completion)

The WOD represents 14 stations of the Cross with the three time Jesus
fell to the ground. The WOD should be done at 3:00 for the
time Jesus passed on the Cross.
